Do you have a passion for producing and promoting events? Want the inside scoop to NYC’s bustling arts and culture scene? Can you manage the hell out of a budget? Do you take pride in hosting events for your friends and family? Are you looking to meet premier artists, DJ’s, photographers, and entrepreneurs? Do you go to more gallery openings and music showcases than anyone you know?

The Culture LP is looking for an Events & Experiences Fellow to join our team here in NYC (September 2017 — March 2018).

Our ideal candidate would answer “Yes” to all of the questions above. The Events & Experiences Fellow will report to the founders and should be a creative, independent self-starter who is passionate about art, music, production, and marketing. This fellowship is perfect for someone looking to learn more about the art and music industry, develop valuable relationships, and learn about working in a fast-paced event production environment.

The ideal candidate is interested in expanding skills related to the visual arts and music industry, exhibition, party and concert production, digital and email marketing, analytics, budget management, and nightlife. They should be forward-thinking, detail-oriented, organized, and passionate.

We are looking to teach about the arts and music industries as a whole and to offer insight into what it’s like to work for an events-based creative collective. Candidates should be enrolled in an internship program through an accredited educational program or recently graduated. The CLP Events and Experiences Fellowship is paid-for credit; at least 10 hours per week are expected.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Assist Event Managers with planning and production of CLP event campaigns
  • Processing contracts, venue walkthroughs, financial planning
  • Maintain floor plans and venue capacity estimation, and handle day-of operations
  • Maintain a CLP event calendar
  • Day-of operations and maintenance of editorial and social media calendars
  • Managing event budgets and checklists
  • Managing contact databases and mailing lists
  • Interpreting and reporting analytics using various tools
  • Executing creative event and promotional ideas
  • Staying on top of pop and subcultural trends
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Drive and social media platforms
  • Lives in greater NYC area (available to commute to midtown or central Brooklyn)

Not required, but a plus:
• Attends art events, parties, and museums several times per month.
• Major in Business, Hospitality, Art History, Music, Sociology, or Marketing, preferred.
• Experience in producing events (panels, parties, dinners, etc.)
• Experience with social strategy and analytics tools
• Self-starter, able to work remotely or from a WeWork office in Midtown.
