when you say “new type of radar that uses light instead of radio waves”, I dont realy get that… both are electromagentic radiation, only differing in it’s wavelenghts… the UHF radars that one usually uses, has a wavelenght beween 1 and 100 cm, the wavelenght of visible light is beween ca. 400–700 nm, thats a factor of at least 10'000.

The stealth planes are usually quite invisible to ultrahigh frequency radars, so why does uping the frequence even more help?
