Um, no. He doesn’t even know who his dad is until Empire, and he just wanted to be a starfighter pilot up until that time. At the actual climactic moment of realization in Empire, he is so overcome with revulsion at the thought of Vader being his dad (remember, this is a guy who allowed a settled planet, the planet of Luke’s friend/sister Leia, to be destroyed), that he throws himself to his (presumed) death rather than touch the guy. Except of course that he doesn’t, because that would kinda end the series right there on Bespin.
