Finding the Silver Lining

What makes your heart twitch?

We live in a world where we are no longer amazed by a lot of many things that would have when we would be ten years back.

Has there been a moment of enlightenment, a touched moment or a moment of deep relief in the recent months of your life?

The moment when we see the silver break between the gloomy dark clouds and the clear blue sky? That instant when you received the result you have been waiting for so badly? When you realized that what you dreaded for so long is finally lifted off your burdened shoulders? Or that minute when you saw something so bad that it made your heart stopped a micro-sec and caused tremors within your physique?

For so long, I have not been feeling such emotions. Sure, in my younger days, when we were all so full of emotions and expressions, we have no breaks in feeling these emotions or thinking creatively different thoughts. Now, I get so caught up in busyness that I forgot to stop and experience. Hi’s and bye’s were said, time was not long enough to extend to fruitful conversations. People’s matters were people’s matters. Someone left, and life goes on. Things happened and we moved on. If you don’t get what you want, you stopped chasing them. Never really slowing down much less stopping to think, reflect, feel and grow from situations.

Life… has too much to offer. Sometimes so much that we dare not afford to live it to the fullest even though you were told you only live once. Someone challenged that you live everyday, you die once, which is amazingly true as well depending on how you define living. Then again, what different is dying from living if you are not doing things that stimulate you now and then, if not everyday?

For a minute today, feel some emotion, have a deep thought, make that eye contact, extend that polite conversation, break a smile, do one hard task, make a decision that might just change your life, permanently.

Feel the difference you are making to yourself with every single step you choose to take, each thought you focus on and all the amazing things that could happen in your life.

Breathe so deep that you can feel the every sac in your lungs being charged with fresh Oxygen, smile so wide that you thought you looked silly so others will smile along, cook with so much passion and zest that your creations get feasted in the most delicious manner.
