The Trailer Park: First Look at Kornél Mundruczó’s WHITE GOD

Hungarian auteur director Kornél Mundruczó slips off the muzzle in his latest film WHITE GOD- a brilliantly subversive Hitchcockian allegory of race, class, and the hierarchical power construct set atop a feral revenge tale of the canine persuasion. WHITE GOD (whose title proves a playful nod to the Sam Fuller film) takes a sharp satirical bite out of the classic minority/exploitation narrative while seamlessly blending elements of both neorealism and magical realism. This Cannes Film Festival favorite won the Prize Un Certain Regard for 2014 and has been recently named as Hungary’s official selection for Best Foreign Film at the Academy Awards.

Wicked, stunning, and stylistic with an astonishing turn by young newcomer Zsófia Psotta, Mundruczó debuts his most political and provocative film yet- and reaffirms that every dog will, indeed, have his day.
