The GIST: Four down, four to go. After yesterday’s thrilling first day, the men’s round of 16 continues tonight with more can’t-miss basketball.

Yesterday’s games: Oh how the mighty have fallen. Two №1 seeds were dethroned yesterday. №4 Arkansas stunned №1 overall seed Gonzaga 74–68 then №5 Houston upset №1 Arizona 72–60. Madness.

  • But the higher seeds took care of business elsewhere. â„–2 Villanova and â„–2 Duke are through to the Elite Eight after yesterday’s wins over â„–11 Michigan and â„–3 Texas Tech, respectively.

Today’s can’t-miss games: In the Midwest region, №1 Kansas faces №4 Providence at 7:29 p.m. ET, and №10 Miami takes on №11 Iowa State at 9:59 p.m. ET, but the real must-see matchups are over in the East.

  • At 7:09 p.m. ET, â„–15 Saint Peter’s will look to keep their underdog run alive and become the first 15-seed to reach the Elite Eight. But they’ll have to upset a strong â„–3 Purdue squad to do it.
  • Then two of the winningest men’s basketball programs — â„–4 UCLA and â„–8 UNC — tango at 9:39 p.m. ET. How lucky are we?
