Animal Symbolism in Music & Ancient Religions

May it be lion, lamb, horse, snake/serpent, dog (Sirius the “dog star”), peacock, donkey/ass, baboon, hawk, eagle, dove, cow/bull (the sign/’sing’ of Taurus), you name it, you will often find links to animal symbolism in ancient religions.

“Imagine a man who sells a donkey in order to be with Jesus.
Now imagine him selling Jesus to get a donkey.
This does happen.” ~Rumi

The bull certainly is NOT “God”, but that too of course is merely symbolism. It often relates to Hierarchy, Political status, and power of authority.

A lot of it points to God being all (which is referred to as Pantheism), as pointed out by the term Oneness, and includes the dark, ie. evil and large-scale deceptions. However, most assuredly also love & light, with the main planets of Sirius to be considered so bright that the sheer amount of light is to make two or three planets look like a major “Sun”. — See the Urantia Book for reference as to settling a planet in light & life. However, be aware of the possibility or large likelihood of there being plenty of lies in the UB as well.

And do take into consideration the possibility of the Pagan religion (referring to a religion based around nature) itself might have been initiated by powers that did not actually have the utmost best interest for humanity — or at least not in a more obvious & experiential sense, since lies and control and references to evil animal spirits are not actually utterly uplifting whatsoever.

In a broader sense and from a higher perspective, as in “higher learning & soul growth”, any and all evil is purely being used in order to catalyze people & souls out of stagnation, ignorance, and repeated mistakes in one life after life.

Whether it be the serpent in the tree in the Garden of Eden, the cow’s or goat’s horns, a long tail (as in, “tale” or nightmare: terror or horror or evil in the mind), hooved “feet” to figuratively also create a noise in people’s heads, all are and have been used in order to make people believe in the unseen evil that cannot be grasped nor understood, much like God, often referred to as “The Great Mystery”; unless one were to research all the major religions in order to understand life and the nature of God.

Any and all such things seem to have been perpetrated in my own head in massive detail without any animal symbolism in order, as it seems, to lead me to an understanding of these concepts and for me to have lived through them myself, rather than 1. me having to assume and merely suggest certain ideas, but 2. on the other hand perhaps not necessarily being so much about the fact for it to seemingly have been my own journey along the lines of “soul growth” and rather as an integer part of and for certain other more essential reasons. And I am saying this not out of cockiness (another reference to animal-symbolism: the cock ie. rooster to symbolize manly arrogance, pride and a lack of tact or a lacking ability to use the feeling mind in addition to the logic-based left brain, but also a reference to waking up in the morning, with the “clock” to be yet another slightly veiled reference to “cock-iness”), but out of a knowing, understanding and also based off of my guidance the moment that I’m writing this. Or it’s also just a lie that has been presented to me consistently, that presumably, I am actually not in need of soul lessons anymore due to my soul’s journey up until now.

Along those lines, here an excellent quote from “Hagakure | Way of the Samurai”:

“People of intelligence will use it to fashion things both true and false and will try to push through whatever they want with their clever reasoning. This is injury from intelligence. Nothing you do will have effect if you do not use truth.”

Then there are references to the Lion, symbolically not only meaning wisdom & power but with the symbolism of the Sphinx it too being a reference to God or the Goddess and the all that is, as also pointed out in Beyonce’s stunning “Spirit & Bigger” from the “The Lion King” Soundtrack, and it also being a veiled reference to the coming of Christ (see more of the Beyonce songs for reference). I’ve also used the term “lion king” ever since my awakening in 2019 with a different if not opposite connotation, that of the Lying King, which really truly would have to hold yet another twist along the lines of it rather being a “Lying Queen” — in reference to the Goddess of all Creation, and the King- and/or Father & Son references being really more trustworthy andstanding’ (as opposed to lying) symbolically for benevolence and a truly well-meaning attitude to and perception of life.

Also see another song off of the “Lion King” Soundtrack that not only holds references to The Great Feminine but also to the story of Moses in the arch or basket on the river and also with another veiled reference to “the Father”:

Still, the Goddess of all Creation (click for a compelling extract from a book as to the nature of the Mother of all life) is not the opposite of “Good”, rather the opposite, she is ALL this, as mentioned above - God being all - with the Goddess of all Creation being a reference to the all that is, including everyone’s own higher selves, meaning that she is also YOU, as in, the YOU-Niverse, or Universe. Universe meaning or being a reference to Uni + Verse = “One Song” (also check out at the very least the utterly compelling and enticing introduction to One Song by Prince and/or my own interpretation of his song).

That said, it is difficult for me to really truly know whether or whether not the awareness, as in, the consciousness which the Universe represents too is the one that has full control over all life, considering the utterly painful experiences I myself (have) had to go through in the context of (more likely than not) a fake father-type figure represented by Ra “the Sun-God”, who really also might or would have to be merely an essential aspect of the Great Mother: The Universe. Meaning that this fake Ra-voice that may or may not only have been used in my own head, cannot quite possibly be any “all-powerful Creator God”, as claimed in such type of narratives since the consciousness “he” finds himself in is that of the Universal Mother. So, believing these types of narratives are not only utterly painful and deceptive but also cannot quite possibly have any truth to them whatsoever.

Some references in music & song:

The band U2 has references to Zoo on no less than Two of their albums, “Achtung Baby” (“Achtung” being German for “attention!”) and “Zooropa”.

Also on “Achtung Baby”, their 90's classic “One”:

The irony for me personally is that, not only am I an East-German who is living in Berlin with their album cover showing scenes from Berlin (incl. an East-German car called “Trabant”), but also that I’ve actually been living close to the Zoo in the East Part of Berlin (East also reminds of Easter, by the way — also see the reference of Goddess Ishtar to Easter below) and the place I’m at used to be called until just a week or two ago Pension am Tierpark, ie. Pension or guesthouse at the Zoo.

And as crazy it will seem, but considering all the circumstances with the many signs & synchronicities related to the Great Awakening and the nature of God, into the word “pension” itself one could interpret different relevant meanings, such as pen” & “sion”. See my reference to the term Zion or Sion in my write-up on The Ark of the Covenant & the Holy Grail.

What are the odds?

But what might the pen-reference mean?
You use a pen for writing. Adding one letter after the other to write a letter for example. In the animal kingdom, there is the hen, which lays eggs and is the feminine counterpart to the cock or rooster.

“Don’t worry baby, it’s gonna be alright
Uncertainty can be a guiding light
I hear voices, ridiculous voices
Out in the slipstream
Let’s go, let’s go overground
Take your head out of the mud baby…” ~Zooropa

And again in reference to U2’s song “One”, a couple of years back, they also re-recorded the song with Mary J. Blidge. And not only does the name Mary remind of Mother Mary & Mary Magdalene, but also did she record a song with George Michael (another Michael reference), a cover of Stevie Wonder’s “As”.

And aside from his Father-reference in Father Figure, he had died young and on the auspicious day of December 25, 2016.

“As now can’t reveal the mystery of tomorrow. But in passing will grow older every day. Just as all that’s born is new. Do know what I say is true. That I’ll be loving you always…”

And not a reference to animals either, but yet another one as for Jesus:

Chorus: Horus— Horses— H..Roses

Here in Berlin, there are no less than Four locations where I discovered Victoria (or Nike), the Roman Goddess of Victory. Including on the famed Victory Column and the even more famous Brandenburg Gate on which she can be seen with Four horses…

Most people should be aware of the reference to the “Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse”, which should not be confused with the “Four Horses”.

Also do consider the importance of the location of the Brandenburg Gate as part of a threefold Heart-Chakra Structure of Earth that stretches from Glastonbury Tor (Tor also being German for “Gate” as well) to Berlin and all the way to Barcelona-Montserrat and even to the Atlas in Morroco.

Take a look at some of my related blog posts:

https://awakening-to-aquarius.webnode.com/

One major link to the in this context recurring number #4 would be the divine four-letter name of God, YHWH.

And I’ve discovered a major parallel with Goddess Victoria and Inanna, the goddess of love & war (and justice & political power), with her to also have been called “Irnina” = “victory”.

Listed among her symbols are the Lion (symbolism: wisdom & power) and the Dove (symbolism: peace & hope).

Check out the “Queen of the Night Relief” and how she too holds plenty of animal symbolism: the lions & owls and most importantly, the “bird feet”, which strongly reminds me of the Janet Jackson song that I had discovered (or re-discovered) and repeatedly listened to some time after my awakening as it had resonated so much.

By the way, I would strongly suggest that the word ‘black’ in “Black Eagle” might have to refer to “dark matter” or “dark energy”, which the largest part of the Universe appears to be made of, as also symbolized in Laura Mvula’s “Overcome” music video further below.

I’ll put the lyrics here because I find them so meaningful:

Do you know about the black eagle
Let me tell you about the black eagle
Strong and powerful king/queen of the sky
Protecting all things with his watchful eyes
Faithful creature to the most high
What are the visions that (s)he holds

Beautiful soul I haven’t met
A spiritual connection I’ll never forget
Your precious life — Incredible
Sharing his love that is meant for us all
Come outtta the shadows into the light
Free to imagine the future you like
Soaring above all of your boundaries

Yes the day will come
Just remember when you’re overwhelmed
Dream and take some time to love yourself
Believe you’re free to do whatever you want
No no more room number #four

You never know, unless you’ve been there

I’m singing this love song to show my support
To the beautiful people who have been ignored

With blind eyes and cold shoulders attacking them
Invisible people they won’t let fit in
Let’s open our eyes to the true barriers
Stereotypical things are the worst
Stand face to face with the real ugly truth
How would you feel if that was you?
Because every life matters (We all need to do better)
So we all should try (We all need to do better)
A smile — A kind word
Or extending a hand
Helping someone to feel human again
If we never start

It could be you on the other end
You never know…”

It doesn’t actually stop here with pointers as to the number #4. Not only the house number of my current place has the #4, but also (and I’m aware that this might also sound completely random), HipHop legend Tre Hardson aka Slimkid3 from The Pharcyde with whom I’ve collaborated on this track of mine (which is based on a Buddhist text, apart from Tre’s original lyrics for it).

And also in a way reminding of terms along the Great Awakening, here another project Tre was on with the “Jazz Liberatorz”…

Plus, here the above-mentioned music video of Laura Mvula holding a reference not only to “dark matter” or “dark energy”, but also to a feathered female, such as can also be found in depictions of Goddess Isis, with the symbolism of the wings to imply flight.

Lastly, I myself was actually born in the sign of Taurus, on May 1, and in the Chinese year of the Horse, 1978.

And last year in 2020, exactly on May 1, Gregory Porter had released his Phoenix” (yet another animal reference).
