Don’t Quit Isn’t Good Advice

Quitting isn’t evil.

When most of us are young, we “learn” that quitting is a negative trait. “If you really want something, then once you decided to get it, you go and don’t stop.”

This is great advice for robots.

We aren’t robots.

We have limited time therefore, humans quit. Every time we do, we try to reconcile our actions with the above thought. From that disconnect, we create cognitive dissonance, and weird stuff starts to happen.

We aren’t tied to our decisions permanently.

It is OK to “quit” if you need to.
