It was the first 2 full weeks of building since releasing the humanDAO governance token ($HDAO). The 75+ $HDAO Builders have been hard at work to lay the foundation for a long term social impact DAO. Here are the highlights:
Bonus and NFT Claim
You can access the Bonus claim site from the refreshed humanDAO Website or directly from the Bonus claim site: Bonus Claim Site.
Everyone participating in the LBP on both chains will receive 20% bonus rewards and limited edition Genesis Contributor NFTs on their tokens. The NFT will unlock certain things in the future, like memberships, discounts, etc.
The 20% bonus claim was not a simple copy/paste airdrop contract like Uniswap, ENS, or others. Our contract needs to calculate those that actually bought HDAO and didn’t sell back into the pool. Because our fair launch auction allowed people to sell back into the pool, some could have tried to earn free tokens. We are also creating claims for two chains, a newer phenomenon. Lastly, we are minting and claiming the NFT simultaneously as the bonus tokens. We think this is the first time this has happened in crypto, dual chain reward claim with a simultaneous NFT mint

Update on Staking: we will be releasing Staking soon. Our development team has now shifted their focus to this project as we continue to lay the foundation of the DAO. Keep an eye out for updates on this via the humanDAO Twitter and blog.
Brand Refresh

Our Dev and Design teams have been moving swiftly to create a new brand identity which will be reflected in our updated website and brand assets that will all roll out in the coming week.
The focus of this rebrand was to support a major upcoming marketing push. This push will be focused on attracting new scholars and new governance token participants. We’re hoping to quickly scale our capital position and our P2E revenue engine. Check out the updated humanDAO website: Refreshed humanDAO Website
Governance
We finalized our governance process, which will be rolled out in the coming week. You can read about it in our docs. The process follows best practices from industry leading DAOs. We’ll be using our forum for governance-related discussion and Snapshots for voting on submitted proposals.
The initial governance process will have three steps: a sanity check, a draft proposal (both on the forum), and an active proposal on Snapshot voted by token holders. Keep an eye out for updates on this via Twitter @humandao and the Discord server announcements.
Governance is very important and many DAOs struggle to set this up. We are already rolling this out because it’s core to the mission. Governance is how we include the community into the creation of HDAO. Everyone who holds $HDAO tokens will get to decide the fate of the DAO. Here’s a sneak preview of what Governance will look like at HDAO:
First Town Hall on Discord
We hosted our first Town Hall and AMA, which you can rewatch here: Town Hall Recording. In the Town Hall:
We updated the community on our accounting. The key highlights were:
- Only 6.5M of the 75M tokens generated by the Token Generation Event (TGE) were distributed. The remainder went into the Polygon Multisig. This keeps the $HDAO circulating supply low.
- There are now three humanDAO multisigs (two on Ethereum mainnet and one on Polygon). You can find the address for each here: humanDAO Treasury. All $HDAO controlled by humanDAO can be verified in these multisigs.
- Scholars- increased 25% in 2 weeks
- Community Members- increased 20% in 2 weeks
- Building Team- increased 140% in 2 weeks

Who Really Owns web3?
Finally, you’ve probably seen the recent banter between Twitter founder Jack Dorsey and the founder of everything else, Elon Musk. They’ve both taken some heat for their view but there is a lot of truth to their tweets. Most blockchain projects, including almost all gaming guilds, are funded by VCs and private investors that get early access and control the majority of tokens and governance decisions.
humanDAO is different, our community controls 70% of all tokens and no private sales or sweetheart deals were made with VCs. Besides money VC’s provide a lot of resources, but there’s no knowledge, experience, or roadmap for what we’re building. These are uncharted waters, and we are committed to navigating them together by giving our community, advisors and builders the first opportunity to invest in the project. At humanDAO you’re not just a builder, scholar or investor you are an owner and will help decide the future of this important project.
