Who do we sell to?

It was hard to admit, but Tunde was turning out to be a not-so-bad decision after all, he had all the feel and the charisma that Modupe lacked. The two of them together could actually pull this off, all things considered.

They had decided to turn the Tea Room into their meeting point sometime during the lunch hours,. The great idea was that the sight of people coming in to eat food that could’ve been ordered from FeedEasy would act as motivation to hasten their plans. As a rule, they also didn’t order food from anywhere during lunch.

Modupe looked across the miniature table to find the hunger pangs rumbling his belly at the smell of his colleague’s meal mirrored on Tunde’s face.

“Err…Tunde, sometimes I feel like we don’t know what we are really getting ourselves into. How many people can we actually cater to? How will we calculate profits?”

It took a full 30 seconds for Tunde to reply through his swallowed saliva, Uche’s pomo was looking like it was just the right texture, not too soft that it provided zero resistance to the teeth, yet not so hard that it required no more than one minute to chew.

“See Modupe, I don’t think we are asking the right questions. We want to source, package and deliver lunch to total strangers. Will people really buy food from us if they don’t know us?”

Modupe thought about that for a moment. Till date he had been focused on how to use FeedEasy to make as much money as possible by selling to as many people as possible, he had given little or no thought to ifpeople outside his office would actually buy food or any other service really from a stranger.

“Modupe! The manager is looking for you!”

It was Toyin, the floor manager and she looked like she was about to drop from exertion..

Modupe quickly rushed out of the Tea Room, hastily making arrangements to meet immediately after COB that day. Tunde’s question had caused a stranger realisation,, one that Modupe had never considered.

“Is there really a market for our product? Will people buy food from FeedEasy?”
