“A Day in the Life” Youth Engagement Initiative Launches to Empower Future Leaders in Cumberland County
Fayetteville, NC — The L3 Brand Community Alliance, in collaboration with community partners including TheGroupTheory, Inc. and Southeastern General Contractors, proudly announced the launch of the “A Day in the Life — L3 Youth Project” during a recent press conference held at Southeastern General Contractors in Hope Mills, NC. This transformative initiative is aimed at combating youth disengagement by offering middle and high school students hands-on exposure to diverse career paths and professional mentorship.
Held on Saturday, April 27, the press conference highlighted the power of community collaboration in creating impactful change. “A Day in the Life” will provide students with free training and immersive experiences in industries such as:
- Home building & construction
- Event planning
- Video production
- Audio engineering & music production
- Creative writing
- Photography
- Professional sports training
- Entrepreneurship
- Hair styling and barbering
- Coding & IT
- Radio broadcasting & DJ training
- …and much more!
Now Open: Youth Registration
Parents are encouraged to register their children (middle and high school students) for this enriching opportunity. During registration, families can select preferred areas of interest to ensure each student is matched with relevant training and mentorship.

Community Support in Action
To support the upcoming efforts to help youth through this initiative, Southeastern General Contractors generously donated $5,000 to L3 Brand Community Alliance. This contribution will help fund supplies , training equipment and other upcoming event needs for the youth — providing vital resources that ensure the program’s success.
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Zeta Pi Omega Chapter, along with mentor Pastor Tim Carmichael spoke to attendees at the event, sharing inspirational stories and resources.
