Using Shift + F3 to change case

In today’s library ladder we are going to learn about a useful keyboard shortcut:

Shift and F3.

You can use the combination of Shift and F3 to change the case of any highlighted text.

So, you can change from all capital letters to lowercase and back again.

This can be useful if you accidentally type a large amount of text in the wrong case.

It is also possible to use the “change case” button which is available in the “format text” tab in Outlook.

In Word, the “change case” button appears in the normal “Home” tab.

But it would probably be quicker to use the keyboard shortcut of Shift and F3.

By pressing these keys together, you can change the case of the highlighted text.

And, if you hold the Shift button down and press F3 again, you can cycle through the different case options.

So, reasons for using Shift and F3 together:

It’s a way to change the case of any highlighted text.

And it might be quicker than using the “change case” option available in the menu.
