[Tinder] Sensodyne

Im tempted to call this girl sensodyne, but since she’s suuuper nice she’ll get a proper nickname rather than a funny one.

…. Yeaaah nah, we’re calling her Sensodyne.

So a week before my holiday to Cebu city (Philippines), to go beach hopping i changed my location to cebu on Tinder and began swiping. Sensodyne was among literally the hundreds that i matched with. (Not even joking, and thats a separate topic on its own.)

Her photos were super cute. Smiling and chilling by the beach. She boasts a really toothy smile, but very attractive in a sense of style, in other words she should be ugly due to her big teeth and small framed face, but she’s rockin’ it. Super cute.

We started talking and she doesnt seem easy. Unlike the other dozen i started to vet to see if they’d just steal my kidneys, this one seems to just be interested in winding me up, which of course i just fell for instantly. I lost in touch with her until two days ago, when i remembered to reply and i noticed that she was only 2 km away from me.

At first im like ‘what..? Thats weird.’ I’m in a hotel in the middle of the city so it wouldnt be unheard of. But her location never moved. Always at 2km.

Her: wait, where are you staying..?

Me: at X hotel.

Her: no way. I work in the hotel across the road.

After that, an hour of flirting and waving across balconies from across the road, it was kinda fun and a bit weird, we decided to meet the next day.

I asked her to pick me up from my hotel as i didnt know how to cross the road. I obviously knew but im just playing on the whole cute tourist kinda vibe. It was sorta working.

She stood across the road and waited for me before crossing. She stood at a super petite 5 ft, toothy white smile and beautiful eyes. She was my definition of ‘goddayum’ and fits all my criteria.

We started walking and at first i could tell she was a bit cautious, super defensive body language and repeats of ‘i dont usually do this’ and ‘this is weird’

Like i’ve never heard of that before. She should read my blog.

We ventured into Starbucks and just got to know each other. We sat outside, and i sat next to her. implementing a king/queen position overseeing a view and peasants. Its a tactic to make people more comfortable with you, approaching them head on and sitting across will only intimidate them. Side by side? Comfort.

After a while she relaxed and we just talked as normal. Its nice to be able to just relax and talk to someone new without any intent. She taught me a few things, i told her some life stories. It was pretty pleasant.

We started walking home (back to my hotel) and just before i went, i gave her a hug and a small kiss on her forehead.

After a few more meetups our last night we watched War dogs- a film with Jonah Hill and Miles Teller. It was just nice to cuddle with someone who genuinely just enjoyed my company. And likewise for me.

Who knew i was a bit romantic?
