Bible Verses to lead us into joy this year

Each year, we share on Vision Sunday what we believe God is calling us to as a church in the year ahead — a moment to pause, follow His leading, and focus in on a particular aspect of what it means that Jesus changes everything.

This year, we believe that God is calling us to be a people who know the deep, sustaining joy of the Lord as we live together as a community. You can listen again to Adrian’s Vision Sunday message using the Soundcloud player below, or catch up with the whole service video here.

A Series Exploring the Promises of God

Every day during Advent 2020, we will be sharing a short encouragement based around a promise in the Bible that God makes to His people. By faith, we can take hold of them to reflect on and present back to God in prayer; lifting our eyes to the hope of this season and drawing us close to the One who draws near to us.

The great English preacher Charles Spurgeon writes that the promises from God for His people, found throughout the Bible, can be compared to a cheque waiting to be cashed. With the rise of internet banking, contactless…

Learning to Live Differently

Recalibrate is all about small adjustments that make a big difference.

Just like a finely tuned instrument, we need to regularly reset to ensure that the practices of our lives are lining up with the Biblical patterns of following Jesus.

Our Autumn 2020 Teaching Series at Oasis focused on seven different practices that can help us walk with Jesus every day. You can listen to each of the talks on the Oasis Website. We have also produced a booklet to go alongside the series, with a summary of each practice, a Bible passage to read, and some practical steps to…

A new home for our Online Services

Over the past few months, we have been using Zoom to host our Online Sunday meetings; giving us the opportunity to continue connecting together for worship, prayer, teaching, encouragement and community throughout this season. Aside from a few technical hiccups, hopefully you’ve found it a helpful way to keep plugging in, even if it’s not the same as gathering physically.

From Sunday 18th October though, we are moving to a brand new platform for our Sunday Meetings: The Church Online Platform. Here’s Rich to explain a bit more:

Why are we changing?

Our goal is to keep developing our online Sunday Meetings to…

Responding to Simon’s Birthday Message

On our 21st Birthday Sunday, 27th September, we were delighted to welcome Simon Holley, who leads the Catalyst Network of Churches that we are a part of, as our guest speaker for the day. Simon brought us a powerful message about joy, which you can listen to below:

  • Proverbs 17:22: A joyful heart is good medicine,
But a broken spirit dries up the bones.
  • 1 Chronicles 16:27: Splendour and majesty are before him; strength and…
