Light Walker-Dark Night Poem
Isaiah 43:19-” Behold, I will do a new thing, and now it shall spring forth”
I walked where silence swallowed sound,
Where shadows pressed me to the ground.
No lantern lit, no friendly guide,
Just empty winds and stars that lied.
Each step I took, the dark grew tall,
A thousand voices dared me fall.
But deeper still, my spirit burned,
A voice within that gently turned.
You were not made to bow or break,
But rise through tremble, when earth-quakes
Let each sharp trial shape your flame
From ruin’s ash, you’ll stake your name
Through the thick, I forged a trail,
With bleeding hands and breath grown pale.
The thorned unknown became my way,
A path no map would dare portray.
My tears were mortar, prayers the stone,
Each wound a sign: I was not alone.
For every scream I once suppressed,
A stronger rhythm beat my chest.
