Please Stop the Taxi-fication of Uber!

Or just stop Uber. I could provide a wonderful user experience with slave labor but it doesn’t make it right. They have a legal obligation to treat workers fairly.

Because Uber had the hubris to break every regulation in the book in order initiate a massive wealth transfer from publicly-regulated medallion owners to themselves while holding employee costs WAY down by calling them contractors, they were able to use a small portion of that transferred wealth and employee mistreatment to improve the CX. But it doesn’t mean the whole premise Uber built itself on is valid. They’ve done some really questionable shit and put a lot of hard-working people (who respected regulations) out of work.

I absolutely refuse to use them in NYC.
