The Tampa Riverwalk is so much more than a 2.4 mile long pedestrian trail along the Hillsborough River. The Museum of Science and Industry is the largest science center in the Southeastern US with over 450 interactive exhibits that encourage visitors to increase their interest and understanding of science, industry and technology. Finding MOSI is not a difficult task, because you can view it’s 25-foot tall Recyclosaurus from over a mile down the road!
6. The Florida Aquarium
Located in the Channel District of Downtown Tampa, the Florida Aquarium is the perfect adventure spot for people of all ages! Visitors will get to experience interactive exhibits with over 20,000 aquatic plants and animals and even get the chance to touch a bamboo shark! And since it’s located right on the Tampa Pier, it could be the perfect start to your family cruise!
7. Lowry Park Zoo
Another fantastic zoo that focuses on rescue, rehabilitation and care for all animals, Lowry Park Zoo is a must see for every Tampa visitor. Spend time with animals from all over the world as you venture through Asia, Africa, Wallaroo, the Primates encounter and an area dedicated to animals native to the Sunshine State!
