Across the country this month, students are setting their pencils down and picking their surfboards up for Spring Break 2019! After some brutal winter temperatures and long hours of studying for midterms, students are looking for a chance to relax and recharge with their friends and family.
Every student and friend group has their own idea of what they want to do and where they want to go to enjoy their best vacation, but thanks to reality TV shows and Instagram influencers, the go-to for most students revolves around fun in the sun.
While the students are off having a good time in a tropical location, however, Apartment Managers are hard at work completing tasks they might not have been able to do while buildings were fully occupied. Spring Break is the perfect time for apartment managers to handle any admin tasks (configuring lease files, prepping marketing plans and collateral, ensuring accuracy of reporting, etc.) and amenity/curb appeal work that is needed while the students are away.
So knowing everyone is hard at work with the aforementioned tasks, let’s take a peek into what life could be like if you were a college student on Spring Break this week! Here are our favorite Spring Break 2019 destinations and where your students might be traveling to this month!
Food, culture and LA MUSICA! Mexico is one of the best countries to visit during university breaks, whether it be at a resort or as a port of call for a Spring Break cruise. The most visited places in Mexico for Spring Break include Cabo San Lucas, Cancun, and Cozumel!
Probably the most visited Caribbean destination, students can enjoy the ultimate itinerary for fun in the sun in cities such as Freeport, Exuma and the capital of the Bahamas, Nassau. White sand and crystal clear water combine to create miles of enticing beach views and visitors are also encouraged to check out the famous Atlantis Paradise Island, an ocean-themed resort equipped with aquaventure excursions and a world-renowned casino!
Panama City, FL
Ask any college student around the country if they’ve been to the legendary PCB and the answer is more likely than not, UH YES! Located along the Gulf Coast of the northwest Florida panhandle, PCB has been called the “Spring Break Capital of the World” and hosts almost 30 miles of captivating coastline and some of the best beach entertainment in the southeastern US.
Exhilarating nightlife, beautiful beaches and a Lamborghini on every corner — Bienvenido a Miami! Most Spring Breakers will gravitate towards the South Beach area for it’s aquatic excursions, exotic cuisine and some of the best bars/nightclubs in South Florida. One of my favorite places to visit in Miami is the Wynwood Art District, the perfect place to grab a bite to eat and marvel at beautiful wall murals from local artists.
For all of the universities and colleges that had an early Spring Break this year, New Orleans was the place to be! With the 2019 Mardi Gras celebration landing on March 5th, Spring Breakers will be able to experience a wonderfully diverse culture, Cajun cuisine and plenty of beads being thrown at them!
