How Some of Us Choose to Keep Our ‘Selves’ Safe
1st September 2016 — Some of us keep our ‘selves’ safe simply by keeping everything in the same place, doing the same thing every day at the same time. Others of us may be a little erratic about most things in our lives but have one of two main habitual behaviour patterns with which we identify our ‘self’ and gain comfort from telling our ‘self’ and others that we always do things ‘this’ way or ‘that’ way and we find our ‘self’ getting really upset when. for whatever reason those ‘signposts’ just aren’t there.
The ‘inspiration’ for the above came from the fact that I have had to temporarily move out of my bedroom into another room and am surprised how bereft and ‘all at sea’ I feel.
