making our bodies ill
11 August 2016 — Making Our Bodies Ill Out of Fear
At the moment I am still finding life difficult simply because I am consumed with fear, I have chosen NOT to indulge in all the activities which will distract me from the fear. But I am also choosing NOT TO ACT — NOT ‘to act and feel the fear’ because the fear of going forward seems all consuming. I am experiencing more and more how we humans prefer to live in inner conflict and to blame others or circumstances, etc …… And experiencing also how we simply make excuses to our ‘selves’ at those times we CHOOSE to take advantage of the opportunities we have longed to come our way but have always assumed were ‘beyond us’ or, ‘NOT for us, and why so many of us over indulge ourselves in ‘getting out of our heads’ and having a good time.
Many of us put much effort into getting things done, going forward, ‘bettering’ ourselves, but on examination we see that our actions fit our mental idea of ‘who we are’, ‘what we have come to see as important’, or, ‘proving ourselves to others in some way’. It is my contention that along with our ego selves we also have what I call a ‘WISE INTUITIVE’ side, and, at the moment, I feel there is great conflict between my ‘ego’ self and my ‘wise, intuitive’ self. And my solution is to make my body ill and to tell myself that I will assess the situation and move forward when I am better. However, until I solve this inner conflict I believe my body won’t get better! In Society today, of course, it is no longer a shared, accepted fact that our minds are responsible for the health or otherwise of our bodies. Although many do see this as a basic truth.
