Just for everyone’s amusement, can you explain why a person should trust in Chekr’s services? I only ask because you are the agency reported by Uber and Lyft that failed to discover the REAL criminal backgrounds of numerous drivers for those two companies. A fact, I am quite confident your legal counsels are already mad at work on defending from a liability nightmare. A 2016 civil lawsuit reveals that Uber used Hirease and Checkr for background checks of its drivers. Relying on those companies for background checks, Uber thus failed to find and identify twenty-five (25) drivers with criminal backgrounds because the screening process didn’t include access to information sources or databases providing full and complete criminal histories and further that did not provide histories going back as far as the law allows, according to the lawsuit. Uber settled the lawsuit, which was brought by the City of San Francisco and the City of Los Angeles, for $25 million.
