Get to know me!
1. Where are you from, and why did you move to the area?
I am originally from Columbus, Ohio — born and raised. I joined the Ohio State Highway Patrol as a Reserve in 2009. In 2011, I became the youngest to win Post, District, and State Officer of the Year for the Reserve and have most recently been promoted to the Sergeant over Community Relations. Also, during that time I spent two and a half years as an animal cruelty police officer and decided that I wanted a change of pace and made the move to Austin, Texas.
2. What do you like to do for fun?
Besides shooting, I also love to go out camping and hiking and spending time out going out on my mountain bike on the off-road trails. I really enjoy going rock climbing and kayaking and swimming. I also love going out and enjoying Austin’s amazing food venues.
3. What are your goals for the retail department?
I would love to see the retail department at The Range at Austin become the go-to source for everything shooting sports related. I believe with our extremely knowledgeable staff and growing inventory that we are one of the premier sources for first-time shooters to the more advanced/expert marksmen.
4. If you weren’t working for The Range at Austin, what would your dream career be and why?
I would probably have to say doing something that allows me to give back and reach out to the community as a whole. I love participating and planning events that help bring people in the community together.
5. What is your favorite thing about working for The Range at Austin?
I love The Range for all the different things that we have to offer. I love our wide variety of products, our outstanding quality of training that we offer, and our amazingly friendly and knowledgeable staff and their extremely diverse backgrounds in firearms and training. But what I would have to say I truly love and respect the most about The Range at Austin is the family environment and the welcoming atmosphere and the excellence in service I see our staff give to guests.
