Autoimmune Diseases

Autoimmune diseases are the worst. I am sorry for this great loss. I know exactly what you are going through. My ex has had a rare autoimmune disease since 1996. He is one of the rare ones who has lasted this long. His disease, Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis, affects lungs, kidneys and sinuses mainly, but he has had it in his eyes, his central nervous system, and just about any other place where there are blood vessels. He has spent 17 out of the last 45 days in a hospital 3 hours away because no one around here knows how to treat his disease. He is also currently undergoing chemo to lower his overactive immune system. He takes 20 different medications a day. Basically he has no quality of life
