As a black woman, I disagree with most of the points made in this article. It seems like you may be misinterpreting the messages in many of the instances you pointed out. You’ve flipped traits that are supposed to make characters like Garnet and Sugilite role models, and in doing so, you’ve victimized characters that are supposed to be strong and multidimensional and reduced them to negative stereotypes.
