5 Challenges to Awaken your Creativity
Do you sometimes feel that you’ve got more than a creative block? Oh so much more? Feel like your creative artistic self has a potential that’s just absent? Well, it might be because you’ve grown up and embraced routine life!
Read on to find out how you can overcome the monochrome and bring the colour back into your creative potential.
While it might sound strange to practice your creativity, this infographic from WriteMyEssays shows that our grown-up routine could well be what’s killing that buzz. When was the last time you went out just to observe the leaves moving with the wind, or smell the rain? When was the last time you looked around to actually see?
Our minds are so used to our daily routine that we don’t even think about it anymore. Getting up, sweeping, getting dressed and going off to work. The walk, the wait, the commute, and the long day. If you think about it, you’ll realize that you really are so used to your everyday routine that you go about more than half your day without thinking about what comes next. Now that’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it’s definitely creative buzzkill after a while.
So go out there, and as you go about your day, notice things. Ask questions like you did as a child. Even something as simple as walking on the opposite side of the street or taking a different route than your usual could help your mind break free of those routine bonds.
If we really try, we’ll find that we still have that wonder we used to easily access as children. The clouds still change shape, and the sunset still looks magical. We just stopped noticing.
We all want that excuse to be a kid again. Now’s your chance. What are you waiting for?
