The Importance of Persistence

It’s been a while since I have written a blog post, been busy with a lot of self-reflection work and I was reminded to do this morning. Recently, I gained a bit of extra belly fat and my jeans were more than tight. They just wouldn’t zip up any longer. Now, because I know my body so well — I knew the fastest way for a flat stomach is ab crunches, and 200 in a day. Within a week, my fat started to tighten up into muscle. Like everyone on the planet, I have cheat days where I forget or get overwhelmed.

As a business woman and a very high performance individual, one thing I learned the hard way is what happens when you take your eye off the ball. I am someone who is consistent and persistent because you never know when your big break is going to come. It often comes, just as you have given up and settled down to watch your favourite show. The annoying part, is because you have now detached from the outcome. What’s great about this is that when you want to manifest things faster in your life, you do this and it works. But what I find is the downside and what most people don’t realise is that although you are watching TV, your lower brain must ALWAYS be on.

Which is the reason business people are always “on call”.

Because we know that a client may call out of nowhere, a business partner may want to have that late night coffee and that web designer who came in town to meet for drinks, may be bringing a contract in tow. When you have and possess focus, it will be shown in your health, your wealth and your spirit. Persistence always pays off, because you turn the problem on it’s head and make it bend to you.

Most people bend to their problems.

Don’t be one of them.
