Hi Keith — thanks for your posts on this topic. We’re dealing with the same issue (and attended the rally yesterday). One thing I find really odd is that the city seems to be placing children who did not get a Round 1 spot as far as they possibly can within District 2. While only marginally better, it seems there are seats at some of the other (slightly closer to the UES) District 2 Pre-K Centers still available. With this in mind, it makes me scratch my head as to why someone who lives on the UES would be offered a seat in the Financial District. Have you reached out to the DOE on this?
