Change
I still haven’t taken to writing on my blog yet, despite expressing my desperation to write again in my last post. I still haven’t found the time to do so. There is a reason for that though, that reason is change.
The past few months have seen massive changes take place in my life and I feel like maybe I should write about them. So I am. After finally finding 5 minutes, it seems like a good subject to cover.
July saw me graduating university, which whilst it was a big step I felt prepared for it because I knew it was coming. Three years to prepare was sufficient for me; even though they flew. However I really shouldn’t have left my outfit to the last minute, sky high heels were a poor choice. This isn’t the end of university for me though, I’ve known since the start of my 3rd year I’d be staying for my Masters in Publishing. I’m extremely excited for this new challenge and with the addition of leading the paper this year, I cannot wait for all the new experiences. Having such a strong and entertaining executive team for student media just makes this all the better. I’ve felt a little lost without university, despite not really having left.

Graduating has been a good change though, it’s given me confidence in myself, especially as I’ve already landed a more relevant job. It’s been odd going into a completely different job, but my degree and Phantom have definitely provided plenty of experience for it. Marketing, Copy writing and Graphics certainly are a change from dressing the elderly. However as much as I enjoy my new role it has been difficult, primarily due to missing so many friends from my old role.
This new job has pushed me further than ever though and just to test myself a little bit more I’ve also decided to move out. I’m not sure I’m quite ready to be a full time adult yet but having placed a deposit on a house with my boyfriend, there’s not much going back now. This is perhaps the most stressful experience I’ve ever had but also the most exciting and I can’t wait for us to have our own space. Plus my mum has bought me Harry Potter decor, so what more could I want!
I’ll promise myself again to write more this time, despite my hectic life at the moment. I’ve found time to blog for Phantom, so I can find time for myself and my tiny readership.
