I believe, When those googly eyes disappear, that’s when people actually say “The spark is not there anymore”. Most relationships end because we fail to acknowledge our partners efforts.

About the burnt toast, it was a metaphor to love someone’s imperfection. It’s not about the toast, it’s about the effort a person in putting into a relationship. Imagine a person who has never cooked in their life but is just doing it for you. You need to appreciate that.

And I know, nobody likes a burnt toast unless there’s Nutella on it. ;)
