Be Grateful For These 3 Things In 2016

If you’re reading this, congratulations, you’re ALIVE. With each passing year there are countless tragedies, losses and people who weren’t able to make it into the new year.

So never take that for granted. Take time to appreciate that today as you go about your business and live your life.

Here are 7 things you should be grateful for in 2016.

1.. Be grateful for the safety of your kids.

As well as your nieces, nephews, little cousins, brothers and sisters.

In the UK alone around 140,000 people under the age of 18 go missing every year. That might seem insignificant compared to the amount of people in England, but each and every person matters.

Life is more important than numbers. And I can only imagine the kind of despair a parent, older sibling or uncle would go through if it happened to them.

The same applies to myself.

So be grateful your kids, nieces, nephews, younger siblings or cousins are safe. Because those possible abductions, kidnappings and missing kids could easily have been someone close to you.

Keep that in mind!

2. Be grateful for how far we’ve come as a society.

Even though terrible things still happen to this day, and Ignorance like racism still exists, we’ve come a long way.

Remember, society has experienced world war 1 and world war 2.

Society experienced major diseases and outbreaks like the black death that killed hundreds of millions.

And don’t forget there was slavery at one point in Africa, America, and so on.

Nowadays none of that is possible because we’ve progressed and have become more intelligent. And the 21st century is officially one of the safest times we’ve lived in throughout history.

Society has improved, even If just a little.

So be grateful for the fact that we’ve made massive progress and have become more accepting. As well as intelligent and civilized as a whole.

3. Be grateful you weren’t in Paris on the 13th of November, 2015.

On November the 13th in 2015, over 100 people were killed for no fault of their own. The culprits were Muslim extremists who threatened to continue the violence they brought upon Paris that day.

The innocent people involved were simply music fans at a concert wanting to enjoy themselves. Until things were ruined and panic hit the streets of Paris.

So If there’s anything you should be grateful for in 2016, be grateful you weren’t a victim of the terrible events that happened in Paris.

Because If you were, you wouldn’t be reading this post right now.
