LG G5 leak shows major changes of LG’s next flagship smartphone

One of the most awaited smartphones of 2016 is the LG G5 which recently had more information leaked regarding the design of the device. Although previously leaked information regarding the device unveiled most of the specifications, MWC in Barcelona is right around the corner but that doesn’t stop us from getting another look at the phone now.
It appears that the G5 has a full aluminum body instead of the previous leather backed design. Rumors surrounding the G5 claim that the new device will support all sorts of LG-made accessories which could explain why in the new images, that the bottoms look removable, or it could just be a misperception. The back of the phone features a fingerprint sensor along with what appears to be the dual camera setup.
Aside from the LG logo on the front, the device looks very minimal and basic. No unsightly antenna bands or obnoxious FCC text on the back but instead, an aluminum framed phone. The main design difference seems to be that LG moved the volume rocker to the side rather than on the back.
Some rumored specifications revealed in previous leaks include a 5.3 inch 2560 x 1440 pixel quad HD screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 System on Chip, 3 GB of RAM which is expandable with a microSD card, and 16 and 8 megapixel rear cameras with an 8 megapixel front camera. Other specifications include laser auto focus, heart rate and pressure sensors, SIM card, bottom facing speakers, IR blaster up top, USB Type-C, and a fingerprint reader like the LG V10, and a non-removable battery. Enthusiasts are eager to see what the dual rear cameras will do as there is speculation that the setup will allow users to snap pictures and then adjust focus after the picture has been taken, like the HTC One M8, or that it will be used for high definition resolution however the exact reason is currently unknown.
LG is trying to keep any and all gaps to a minimum especially after the success of their G2 model which led to the G3, Nexus 4 and 5, and the LG G4. Although the latest leaked information includes an image of the device, MWC in Barcelona will reveal more information regarding the device including hopefully official specifications, pricing, and release dates for the new flagship model.
