In my first article i want to compare several interesting masternode coins with solid characteristics, usecases, active developement and a good to high return of investment.
Some of them are quite new, most of them are already established for a longer time. Almost all of them are lowcap coins with a high grow potential.

And in my opinion all of the introduced coins are worth investing in. In many of them i´m invested or have been invested before.

MN= Masternode
POS = Proof of Stake (staking)
ROI = Return on Investment (rewards for MN/POS)

rating refers to current situation

a graphical statistic overview of the 8 coins

Monkey Project — $MONK

$MONK is led by a experienced and respected head (“POSMonkey”) who is a very trustable person.
There are a lot of funds and an active developement. New ideas for usecases pop up from time to time.
The community is small but strong and enthusiastic.
They have their own hostingservice for masternodes and staking: POSMN.

ROI: 2/5
Price stability: 3/5
Development: 4/5
Marketing: 3/5

Stakinglab Coin — $LABX

$LABX is the coin from the oldest (and one of the biggest) Masternode/Stakingpools with a high dedication to security and usability.
They are hosting (shared) Masternodes, InstantNodes and have their own hosting service for full nodes, Clicknode, which is paid with their $LABX coin.
Other usecases for $LABX are their lottery and other things to come..
A lot of $LABX coins are constantly burnt every month (from their platform fees).
$LABX has a very low available supply and given the low price a high potential to grow to several dollars.
The masternode rewards follow a block phase scheme and are quite high at the moment.

ROI: 5/5
Price stability: 4/5
Development: 4/5
Marketing: 4/5

Soverain — $SOVE

$SOVE aims to be a integrated platform for multicurrency online wallet and investing in POS/MN coins.
It´s a very new coin with a really big community and a very low supply.
The masternode rewards are really high and rising until the collateral for a full masternode will be raised from 3000 to 4500 and in the third phase from 4500 to 6000 coins.

ROI: 5/5
Price stability: 3/5
Development: 3/5
Marketing: 3/5

Energi — $NRG

The vision of the founder is a powerful self-sufficient and economically-optimized cryptocurrency.
$NRG is a decentralized, democratic system where masternodes vote where to direct funds.
With their platform release 3.0 they want to effectually accomplish the combination of the features treasury/funding + smart contracts + governance.

ROI: 3/5
Price stability: 3/5
Development: 3/5
Marketing: 4/5

Pivx — $PIVX

The primary focus of the cryptocurrency is to make all the transactions as secure, private and smooth as possible. PIVX has faced a lot of issues of recent times with members of the core development team leaving, the Zerocoin protocol being cracked leading to a significant reduction in value of the coin. The good news is development remains active from both the core development team and community developers working on future releases of cold staking, version 4.0 wallet and eventually a new privacy protocol. The new protocol is required to return privacy to the PIVX coin which was lost with the Zerocoin crack.

ROI: 1/5
Stability: 1/5
Development: 3/5
Marketing: 3/5

SafeInSure — $SINS

Safeinsure is planning to be a decentralized insurance marketplace bringing equitable price discovery and global access to insurance policy shoppers worldwide. The only challenge is after 2 years from launch the project is just starting development and research in Q4 2019. Putting that aside Sins has a high ROI and high trading volume perfect for ROI chasers.

ROI: 4/5
Stability: 3/5
Development: 1/5
Marketing: 1/5

Blocknet — $BLOCK

Blocknet is a 2nd layer blockchain interoperability protocol that enables communication, interaction, and exchange between different blockchains and oracles. This allows for the development of multi-chain applications and blockchain microservices, creating exponentially more capabilities and possibilities for the blockchain ecosystem. The Blocknet Protocol currently supports 117 blockchains all of which can be traded on Block DX. The team remains active development of the project recently upgrading codebase to the new BTC v18. Block is the only working atomic-swap full to full wallet DEX. No deposits, no withdrawals, no limits, no listing fees, no create/remove order fees, small taking order fees, Assets you trading are always in your wallet protected by your private keys, trading is secured by atomic-swap technology. Block is a mature project those wanting high ROI need to look elsewhere but those looking for a solid project and good trading volume will find it with Block.

ROI: 1/5
Stability: 2/5
Development: 4/5
Marketing: 4/5

ZCoin — $ZCX

ZCoin is one of the major privacy coins that attempts to establish anonymous transactions, fungibility and decentralization of mining in a unique and scalable way. Development of the coin is very active with the recently released Sigma Protocol which allows users to have complete privacy via zero-knowledge cryptographic proofs. Znodes are similar to master nodes in that they are computers on the ZCoin network that are running a full copy of the blockchain, and are working to process transactions. Those running Znodes are required to stake 1,000 ZCoins however, as a way to prove that they are highly invested in the ZCoin network. The stake is an incentive to keep the network running honestly and with consistent uptime. Zcoin is in the top 100 on coinmarketcap with solid volume and listings on over 40 exchanges including Binance and Huobi global. Whilst Zcoin has a relatively low ROI due to the maturity of the project the advancement it is making in development of privacy is great for the entire crypto market and should be supported.

Stability: 2/5
Development: 5/5
Marketing: 2/5
