Writing Naked
Amy Selwyn

My laptop recently died, and while waiting for a new one, I found composing on a tablet to be so cumbersome that I’ve gone back to writing longhand. I’m astonished at how different it is. It’s something I haven’t done since graduate school days, when I’d type up the finished product on a portable electric typewriter. Writing longhand slows my thoughts in a way that I thought would be annoying, but is in fact the opposite. I may have acquired a new habit. Thank you.
