Yesterday, SLIVER.tv and Theta launched a massive community-driven all-star streamer CS:GO tournament featuring some of the most popular Twitch Streamers and CS:GO players in the world like Summit1g, Steel, Brax, fl0m, adreN, and others.

Various perspectives from the streamer tournament took over the front page of Twitch CS:GO with over 25k concurrent viewers across all channels, totaling to more than 300k viewers throughout the day as the streamers battled it out to be the first ever SLIVERLympics champions. Top Twitch streamer Summit1g alone had close to 20k concurrent viewers on his SLIVERlympics stream:

Many of the top streamers from Twitch such as JasonR, fl0m, adreN, steel, Pimp, and dozens of others have found immense success on SLIVER.tv, which brings in tens of thousands of new viewers to their channels on a daily basis. By embedding the streams directly on the website, SLIVER gives Twitch streamers a comfortable opportunity to run their normal stream as usual, while offering their fans an additional platform to win huge prizes and stay engaged.

Throughout the SLIVERLympics week, users on SLIVER.tv donated thousands of Theta Tokens to their favorite CSGO streamers like Steel, whose recent Twitter post shows his excitement about winning the event.

We love seeing how SLIVER.tv helps democratize the success of streamers — in fact, many of the tournament participants are not professionals but rather amateur players that were able to gain exposure and rewards from the SLIVER.tv platform and Theta Token. On a larger scale, that’s what the Theta Network will do for streaming video as a whole. By allowing gamers and streamers of all sizes to share bandwidth and earn Theta Tokens in the process, the whole community can enjoy the rewards, not just the big CDNs. That’s why Theta Token is truly next generation video delivery, powered by you.
