Everything in Life is a Risk

Everything great in life requires the element of risk. You will not gain anything by choosing to play it safe. If anything, by playing it safe you lose by default. All great entrepreneurs, at one point or another have had to make decisions where they put everything on the line. In essence, they were willing to risk their time, energy and resources for something even greater down the line. Please understand though, that the risk they were willing take could have blown up in their face at any time, yet they chose to proceed anyway.

If you want to do something great, you have to set your fear aside and be willing to take that leap of faith. If travelling into the unknown is terrifying for you because you fear that you’re going to fail, Entrepreneurship is not for you. A great majority of people want to be Entrepreneurs, but if you choose to venture out as an Entrepreneur you must be comfortable with the idea of taking calculated risks. That’s just the reality of it, plain and simple.

As I have stated in the title, everything in life is a risk. Asking that person you like out, and putting yourself out there knowing there’s the potential you’ll be rejected…risk. Driving your car in the morning to work knowing you may potentially get involved in accident…Risk. Starting your dream business and knowing that most businesses don’t make it past 5 years…risk. If however, you choose not to try out of fear of taking any risk, then you are not really living.

Be willing to take a chance on yourself and go after what you want. Sure, it may be risky and you may fail. All things considered, at least you know for certain that you tried. It’s better to have tried and failed than to not have tried at all.
