I agree. As a developer, I wouldn’t appreciate being given pixel-perfect mockups. I much prefer to see a sketch, understand what is required and deal with the final style later (unless it already exists in branding and style guides).

Developers do not need encouragement to think, they are always thinking. to micro-manage their thoughts will only lead to poor relationships with developers.
