Autonomous (AI driven cars) exist, are becoming more popular and will soon be found traveling on roads everywhere. (in 2–10 years)

Maybe by adding robot drivers to existing vehicles.

We aren’t that far away.

Tiny homes are also becoming more popular, and very soon those two markets will collide.

The result: Autonomous Tiny home travelers.

Picture this……

You wake up, parked somewhere scenic, perhaps along the ocean. (your vehicle drove you there while you slept). You step out from your tiny home and enjoy your morning cup of tea or coffee and go back inside to get ready for work. Meanwhile your vehicle/home is driving you to work.

You arrive at work and exit again, ready to begin your day.

The vehicle? It starts its’ day as well. And depending on its design or needs, it may have tasks to accomplish.

Perhaps it goes about the day giving people rides (an autonomous Taxi) or delivering products, either way, it is generating income for you. Waiting for you to request a pickup whenever your workday is complete.

The vehicles may remain parked in Temporary tiny home communities, similar to RV Parks with a variety of amenities, great for corporate staff.

For others, personal short range vehicles may transport inner city workers to and from their these and regular homes, (there are lots of immobile ones that aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.)

There are benefits to having a community that can up and move in times of crises. It may not be long until the first steps towards this develop and organize meetups.

Not too far into the future, you should expect to see mobile stores, restaurants and shops navigated and requested by apps, brought right to you as needed.

When the vehicle/home home needs repairs or fuel (power) perhaps it seeks out a sunlit parking space, (using a parking map database and solar sensors).

Or heads to a electric fill up station (gas station) to charge itself. Perhaps it has no need to do either as solar powered RV’s are also in development.

And what does that tiny space look like inside?

How could someone live in under 500 sq ft of space?

Take a look at this interior design style based on space sharing.

or this one based on expansion.

NOW WITH VR !

You can even add Virtual Reality devices if you want to ‘feel’ like you have more space or want to explore larger environments.

Pod replacement, might be the best way to facilitate mass production of all of these types of electric vehicles.

You may use it for work someday. as an office of the future.

you can also increase the size to provide a dwelling space for two, 4 or even more.

Not just for individual dwelling, but perhaps for group living and travel.

Mobile offices or teams (such as sports teams or bands)

Tesla may soon develop a micro power wall specifically designed for just such a lifestyle.

With High speed wireless internet, soon to be offered globally, it may offer unique abilities.

Everyday the autonomous AI receives updates, a sort of swarm learning from all other vehicles making mistakes and receiving corrections. For safety defensive driving updates are rolled out automatically.

And to simplify transportation systems, (until full autonomous AI is ready) systems of temporary drivers taking over (remotely) during challenging situations is a great solution.

The future of Hive behavior. Vehicles linked to weather data, this means that emergency response behaviors can also be integrated.

Perhaps your vehicle will seek safety and shelter when a storm is on its way.

Or be used for disaster relief, and joining a collection of vehicles sent to assist in evacuation of affected areas.

There are still some hurdles to be overcome before we reach that point.

But the benefits of portable/ power for a home backup systems and for long distance travel are immense.

Tesla tiny homes and the autonomous vehicle lifestyle trend of the future is just on the horizon. Are you as excited as I am?

What will the future look like?

Here’s my guess.

and the view of others.

Personal News update.

I drove across Canada capturing 360 degree photo content (for vr navigation)

I setup an RV, with #VR installed into the swivel seats, a 360 cam on the roof and went on a coast to coast adventure. one day I’d like it to be autonomous and amphibious! http://bit.ly/2De9FuF

news: Uber files patent.

I’m no longer alone, others have the same idea… . sort of. :-)

new tech in the news.

But really, Elon should be looking at his competition.

a great design

For fun:
