Reality and our perception of it.

To debate someone implies he who is most convincing is right.

But truth is not determined by sincerity or by persuasiveness.

We must NOT make the mistake of saying he must be right, he’s so sincere. Truth has to be determined by truth.

The laws of ‘everything’ are under no obligation to make intuitive sense to you. (Which leads to the cognitive bias all humans have, that easy to absorb info seems ‘more right’. Think motivational quotes. Fluency bias: information can be preferred due their ease of cognitive processing.)

So the right heuristics is digging. Keep asking why, why , why. Keep digging. Or if it doesn’t pertain to your business.. then seek out authoritative information, double check, and be your own devil’s advocate to minimize confirmation bias.
