The “Con” In Contractor…

Three years ago, I moved from Chicago to Los Angeles, with the expressed intent of pushing myself out of my comfort zone, and seeing if I could build a successful life in a place where I had no contacts. At the time, I was a work from home Technical Support Representative for OpenTable (…but not OpenTable. You’ll see a theme here shortly.) This meant that in some ways I would be fortunate, I could bring my job with me and not suffer a debilitating lapse in pay. I didn’t have to waste time and resources looking for a new job. Being that I worked from home, I saved money on transportation and parking.
