Why are you sorry?
Why do you say sorry when you make a mistake speaking a new language (or doing anything new)?
We are sorry when we hurt someone, cause them trouble, do something offensive.
Unless you accidentally tell someone to walk in front of a bus (and they do) - it’s unlikely any of the above is true.
Next time someone corrects you try ‘thank you’ instead.
