An open letter to Jayme Senigaglia,
You need to look in the mirror, grow up and take accountability for your own actions. According to Yelp, you missed 10 days of work in your first few months on the job. You, unfortunately, do not get any extra leeway because you are parent — sorry an single parent — you pointed that out ad nauseam.
You can not whine about relocating to SF from SJ. Thousands of people, including myself, commute to and from SF — SJ every day for work.
You can not whine about taking out a loan with absurd interest. Nobody forced you to do so, and nobody cares. You have to sleep in the bed you make.
You can not whine about having to spend time with your bf in the hospital. You don’t, unfortunately under the law, have that luxury if you aren’t married or if he’s not a relative.
I read your letter with very little sympathy. I implore you to read the comments posted on SFGate.com, and SFist.com. Many people outside of this blog do NOT feel sorry for you because sometimes life just ain’t fair. We are all adults and we all face hurdles…. It’s time for you to look in the mirror and start setting a better example for your son rather than being known as the woman who couldn’t hack it at her job and took to the internet to make excuse after excuse after excuse… Judging by your linkedin profile, past experience and education I’d say you were pretty darn lucky in the first place to have such an opportunity at Yelp.
