“Sometimes we dedicate our insomnia to someone who is already asleep.”

We dedicate it to someone who sleeps peacefully, in complete happiness, in the momentum of bliss. We keep ourselves up for no reason. It’s not just midnight thinking either, it’s also day thinking, and day dedication, and the slight moment of thought you allow yourself to have, and the relations of objects to memories, as far as a chain as that might be. They’re asleep, dreaming of happiness, and you’re awake, thinking in pain.
