Open 45th Letter-INCOMPETENT BOARD MEMBERS — FOSTER AND JUAREZ- CONTINUE TO ENABLE AN INCOMPETENT SUPERINTENDENT
Here is the bottom line: Cam Juarez and Kristel Foster have got to be ousted from the TUSD Board!
There are only a few days left to vote and on your ballot are your choices for TUSD Governing Board. We implore you to vote for three candidates who will move the District out of the very negative and punitive place it has become since HT Sanchez took over as top dog and whose Board majority has empowered him to do as he pleases. There is no accountability in TUSD. There is no oversight of its run-away Superintendent. He runs the show and what a poor show it has become. Here is the bottom line: Cam Juarez and Kristel Foster have got to be ousted!
Cam Juarez does not prepare for Board meetings. He does not read his Board materials. He bull sh_ _ s his way through the meetings by rambling and asking HT Sanchez what questions he should be asking (this honestly has happened). He did not want to run for another term but HT Sanchez and Adelita Grijalva convinced him that he had to be reseated, otherwise HT Sanchez would lose his power-lock on all decisions. Cam has run a lazy campaign but Kristel Foster and Raul Grijalva stepped in and have carried him on their coat tails. Foster has included him in almost all political activities (mailings, fund-raisers, telephone bank, etc.). He could care less. His heart is not in it but he was pressured to go through the campaign so that HT will have his three stupid votes. Otherwise, everyone knows, HT has threatened to resign from his position.
Cam is a go-along guy. Not a leader. Cam is a “do-the-minimum” guy. His questions during Board meetings reflect only a very superficial understanding of the agenda items. One of his key supporters — Mary Belle McCorkle- a former Board member who was most infamously known for her constant intrusion in administrative functions, has backed Cam (and Kristel) with the hope that an instructional program which she is peddling will be purchased by TUSD in the near future. She plans to make plenty of bucks and continue her administrative interferences anywhere she can within TUSD. She brags about how much influence she continues to have over TUSD with Cam and Kristel. Adelita, she says, is a given. After all, she brags, she mentored Adelita when she became a young Board member. Thing is- Mary Belle doesn’t mentor; she meddles.
Raul Grijalva had to rescue Cam for fear of having his oldest daughter humiliated once Cam or Kristel are ousted. They buffer Adelita from actually having to do any work as a Governing Board member, such as direct and evaluate the supt. Or how about understanding the budget? That would be a marvel. What the three of them do is rubber stamp, rubber stamp, rubber stamp and HT Sanchez loves it. He can do just about anything and get away with it. He can obstruct and resist the federal desegregation court order, hoard 301 dollars, run the District via consultants and outsourcing, and get away with not knowing- how to run a school district.
Kristel Foster has been exposed, particularly during this campaign, as a very mean and cruel human being. She plots one malicious action after another and convinces Cam Juarez, Adelita & Raul Grijalva, David Safier, Mari Hernandez, Ann Eve Pedersen, and other “players” to go along with her revenge. Her convincing act includes tears, many tears. The woman is far from stable. Much of her platform has been about “getting” Mark Stegeman and defaming him by calling him “despicable” to anyone who has her ear. It is nothing more than projection. Stegeman and Mike Hicks intimidate her because they each call or on her none-sense during Board meetings. It is so much easier to have people on the Board that she can manipulate through what she presents as her research because, let’s face it, Adelita and Cam are not willing to devote any time to doing any background work. Her research has always been used to support her darling HT Sanchez. When there is even the slightest criticism against HT, she quickly puts her spin talking points in place, and begins to counter the exposure of facts with one lie after another. She sees no problem in lying. She then hands her talking points over to Annie Eve Pedersen, David Safier and other Sanchez devotees so that they can talk her points. It is a sick and contorted way that the District is being run- THREE INCOMPETENT BOARD MEMBERS ARE TOTALLY ENABLING AN INCOMPETENT SUPERINTENDENT.
Our District is in a very bad state in all areas. It all can be attributed to a man who should have never been appointed superintendent and to three Board members who have failed to direct him and supervise him. Get rid of Kristel Foster and Cam Juarez. See our endorsements.
