This post will be updated as more questions are received…

Do I have to reveal my model when competing?

No — you don’t have to give details of your model. Only probabilities are needed to compete.

Why should I give you predictions from my model?

Right now we’re banking on people wanting to compete for its own sake. In the future we may introduce more explicit incentives (prizes and so on) for making good predictions. But now the site is in a beta phase.

Why do users predict outcomes instead of the point spread?

Good question! Right now we are keeping things simple and having competitions scored by the outcome of games. In future we will expand to include spread-based competitions.

Why haven’t you got sport [x]?

We’ll introduce more competitions when demand is established.

Will it be possible to get more data in future?

Yes — we are planning to provide more data (lineups, injuries, etc) as time progresses.

How good are the features right now?

We encourage you to make your own features. Right now the public facing features are fairly basic, but we will give you better features as time progresses.

What is XP?

An in-game currency — i.e. not real! You earn XP as you make good predictions.
