I have written songs and arranged music while I run. I think I do let go completely when I am not thinking I don’t want to be running! There definitely is something in your head that disengages when you reach that zen point.

I still concentrate on doing the right moves in yoga way too much to let go (I last went about 4 months ago and did love it).
