While continuing her career in the human resources industry, Tiffany Hustis returned to Boston College to earn her master’s degree in school counseling, then chose to stay at home and raise her three children. Hoping to return to work as a school counselor, Tiffany Hustis has a passion for travel to places such as the Turks and Caicos in the Caribbean.

Known particularly for their scenery and seclusion, the 40 islands making up the Turks and Caicos feature white sand beaches and blue waters brimming with vibrant coral reefs. Lesser-known tourist destinations, they offer a getaway for those looking to enjoy peace and quiet among the beauty of Caribbean scenery.

Travelers visit the islands year-round, but hurricane season lasts from June through November. If you choose to travel during hurricane season to take advantage of cheaper prices, be aware that some restaurants and bars may close for repair.

Aside from its beautiful beaches, the Turks and Caicos offer the only conch farm in the world, and salt marshes boasting more than 170 bird species. To view the ruins of a 200-year-old cotton plantation, you can visit Providenciales, which has the largest airport in the islands.
