Eroswia and hour-long orgasms?
There are plenty of apps out there for different sex positions you can try, and it seems each app places its own terminology to the positions. What’s called the Reverse Cowgirl in one app is called the Chili Pepper Shake in another. Really, there is no difference. All these positions are just taken verbatim from old books like the Kama Sutra. They rename them in an effort to hype them up as something new and just discovered. Guaranteed to blow your mind.
When I first read about eroswia, I figured this was another case of the same marketing ploy. The sexual positions date back to ancient Greece (wasn’t it the Greeks that invented anal sex?), and supposedly give you stronger orgasms that last longer. Now, what made me take interest in this is the fact that it has been tied to a rise in norepinephrine levels. Interestingly enough, this neurotransmitter has actually been found to cause stronger and longer orgasms.
Doing a little sleuth work on the internet, I found numerous reports of people having multiple orgasm while taking norepinephrine re-uptake inhibitors. The New York Times reported 10 years ago on the case of a woman named Susan who called her Psychiatrist shortly after starting an anti-depressant prescription. She was calling out of concern since she was in the midst of a 2 hour long orgasm that had started while she was out shopping. Susan had been a patient of this doctor for some time and had been successfully treated for depression. Unfortunately, like many who are prescribed anti-depressants, Susan experienced a severe drop in her sex drive. Her doctor decided to switch her to Wellbutrin which is a different class of antidepressant not known to cause sexual dysfunction. Yet as this doctor was about to learn, the drug can cause the opposite reaction in a small percentage of cases. In some women, it can actually cause spontaneous orgasms. For men, it can trigger longer orgasms with a stronger ejaculation. This posting actually warns users to stay away from certain prescription drugs while doing the eroswia position because the orgasm can be too intense.
So is this the sex position that will blow your mind, literally?
