I just finished watching EX-NFL Player, Clinton Jones Jr’s family press conference speaking about his younger brother #CoreyJones who was shot 3 times and killed by an off-duty police officer in Florida.
During the Press Conference Clinton Jones said in part
“#AllLivesMatter! No disrespect to #BlackLivesMatters, We weren’t raised to see color”.

I feel for Mr. Clinton Jones Jr. I feel for the entire Jones family, co-workers and friends. I’ve yet to hear anyone whisper a bad word about Corey Jones and I’m sure many are searching for a negative talking point. Trust me.
I must speak to an issue raised by Clifton Jones even at the risk of ‘too soon’. Well, damn sir. I’m just going to have to be ‘Too Soon”.
I’m exhausted with folks labeling ‘BlackLivesMatter’ as some form of discrimination against non-blacks.
The term ‘BlackLivesMatter’ is based on percentage of the population which shows black folks are murdered, gunned down, killed, searched, jailed, hit with stiffer sentences for the same crimes and yes executed by the State at a far higher rate than any other group.
Many unaware people of all colors misunderstand the issue. They see the word “Black” and assume it’s divisive. People do the same with my YouTube Channel. It’s not Mr. Jones’ fault. I don’t blame him or anyone else who means well. The problem is THE MEDIA does not show neighborhood reactions to shootings and murders by blacks against other blacks. When black folks kill black folks the term ‘Black Lives Matter’ is used.
“Do you actually believe black parents are not angry, devastated and heart broken if their child is killed by a black person or do you believe those same parents would only be devastated if a white cop fired the shots?”
Please read that question again. This is important. We need to uncover what the media is doing to us. The media doesn’t cover random killings that will not cause an upwards ratings spike. Big Media is a for profit business meaning they must do this strange thing you may have heard of called: “Be Profitable”.
Sorry, if I sound like a jerk, but people keep forgetting the reality of our news media. News Media is a business similar to any other, meaning eyeballs matter and nothing gets eyeballs like drama, race division, religious division, sex and intrigue not some black parents holding candle light vigils about their son killed by a boy up the block over a pair of Dre. Beats Headphones.
We say ‘BlackLivesMatter’ because based on the numbers, to many Americans of all colors it’s obvious ‘BlackLives’ do not matter and if so, not so much.
