Ev is right, the “free stuff but ads” model is completely broken and creates ruinous incentives for everyone.

The right way is very close to what Ev is doing here, it’s to set up incentives for people to produce and distribute good content where the content producer (not an advertiser or host) gains the majority of the value from the content created.
