If they were in the better position to run the company, they would be the founder and not the investor.

In my experience, about 1% of the advice I get is actually useful. Most of it is asking us to try something we already tried and found to be fruitless. A lot of what remains is trying to redesign our product or business model to be a worse version of itself.
